Britt Del Rose is a singer/ songwriter from Miami, Florida. She has been singing, writing, and performing popular music since the age of 12. In 2015, Britt was selected by the National Young Arts Foundation, as one of the most talented vocalists out of thousands across the country. This foundation identifies the most accomplished young artists and assists them at critical junctures in their educational and professional development. Since then, she has studied in various programs at Berklee College of Music and continued her musical education in classical and jazz studies.

At 17 years old, Britt had a transformative, life-altering encounter with Jesus and has been passionate about serving the local church since. She is currently serving as a worship leader, while participating in various songwriting sessions and album recordings with VOUS Worship. “God is interwoven into the fabric of my being, therefore, I must acknowledge Him in all that I do, most importantly through the music I create. This gift is not my own, but God-given. I will always honor and glorify him through it.” In addition to using her gift during Christian church services, events, and conferences, Britt has performed in diverse settings locally, including countless events, weddings, galas, restaurants, jazz clubs, art exhibits, and Miami resorts, like the Faena and Ritz Carlton hotels.

To Britt, music is one of the most special gifts we get to experience and create, describing it as a “treasure from God.” “Music serves so many purposes within the realm of connection and beyond. We can connect to God, ourselves, and each other. We can find hidden, unknown, parts of ourselves, which somehow surface. Certain songs can allow those hidden parts to come alive and connect to melodies.”

In addition to connection, music serves a unifying purpose. Britt believes that, “Humans are more similar than we are different. Music shines light on the universal human experience: the complexity of emotions and condition we all share.”

Lastly, to Britt, music serves as a “safe place” where complete vulnerability is possible. Not only is it possible, but it is uniquely rewarded. A songwriter’s vulnerability has the power to remind others they are not alone in their deepest struggles. “My favorite songs seemed to understand me and describe what I was going through so well. In a way where the most descriptive vocabulary or vibrant adjectives would fall short. I hope my songs can be a tool of connection, a means to foster vulnerability, and most importantly, be the safe place to others that it always was to me.”
